Poland take seventh place in the tournament, when they beat Slovakia 2-0 in the Tampere Arena. Poland´s best player was the goalkeeper Agata Kowacka, who kept her net intact the whole match. The winning goal was scored by Anna Raczkowska in the first period.
- I feel very happy about this game and this score I liked because it’s 2-0. We showed our best game today, Agata Kowacka said after the game.
Kowacka wears number seven and her team took the seventh place. Number seven isn’t typical for a goalkeeper. To Kowacka the number isn’t anything special but she now thinks it’s her lucky number because they finished seventh. She planned to change her number in the future.
- If I get number one we take maybe first place, Kowacka smiled.
