All teams, apart from the host country (Finland), will have to qualify for the Final Round via the qualifications, and there will be a total of 5 qualification groups - one in the Americas, one in Asia-Oceania and three in Europe

Asia-Oceania
Teams will qualify for the Final Round according to the following results:
In Asia-Oceania there is one qualification group and teams will play each other once. Teams will qualify for the Women´s WFC 2015 according to the following:
i) The three best teams from the qualification group will qualify.
The calculation of the best teams will follow this order: 1. Average number of points 2. Average goal difference 3. Average scored goals 4. Lottery drawing.
Americas
In Americas there is one qualification group and the teams play each other twice. Only the best team will qualify for the Women´s WFC 2015, according to the following:
i) The calculation of the best team will follow this order: 1. Average number of points 2. Average goal difference 3. Average scored goals 4. Extra time + penalty shots.
Europe
In each qualification group the teams play each other once. Teams will qualify for the Final Round according to the following results:
The three best teams from
each qualification group and the two
best 4th placed teams will
qualify.
Since the number of teams between
the qualification groups differ, the group sizes will be equalised by
removing the results from the matches against the lowest placed teams
in the larger-sized group before comparing the average
results.
The calculation of the best 4th teams will follow this order: 1. Average number of points 2. Average goal difference 3. Average scored goals 4. Lottery drawing.
