Czech Republic beat Poland 8-2 in the Women’s World Championships quarter-final. Czech Republic became the second team to take a place in the semi-finals. The defender Denisa Ratajova got all prices from the game and scored two goals, including the winning goal.
Czech Republic won the game with six goals difference but it wasn’t an easy game for them. Poland kept the game tight until the second period´s last ten minutes. Then Czech Republic make a takeoff and scored three goals in four minutes.
- We knew the game would become difficult, because they showed against Finland how good they are, Czech Republic´s head coach Miroslav Janovsky said.
The last game on Wednesday is Finland against Germany. The winner of that game will play Czech Republic in the semi-final. The semi-final is played on Friday in Hakametsä. The game will be start at 20:15. Before the match Janovsky had a dream about Friday night.
- We wanted to go to semifinal and play against home team in a full arena, Janovsky dreamt.
