The tone for the morning game was set already after 20 seconds when Lucia Kosturiakova put Slovakia ahead scoring the fastest goal of the tournament this far. Maaike van Berg tied the game with Netherland´s only one at 5.45 but after that it was all Slovakia. They secured their victory already in the irst period putting six more balls behind Dutch goalie Charlotte de Keyzer who was replaced in the first intermission.
Paulina Hudakova was Slovakia´s top scorer in the game with her three goals and three assists.
Seeing their team have it rough in the rink did not depress the Dutch fans, though. The orange mob dominated the stands through all 60 minutes and more, rising to dance and sing for their favourites.
