Seven referee pairs from four different countries have been nominated to the Women´s WFC 2015 referee team.
The head of the referees is Mr. Sami Rahikainen from Finland and his observer team is Mr. Lubos Maly from Czech Republic, Mr. Göran Norberg from Sweden and Mr. Frank Leuenberger from Switzerland.
- This time we have maybe a bit more experienced referee team than before and I´m sure that the referees will serve the games very well, says Mr. Klaus Koskela, the chairman of the IFF Referee Committee.
- The observer team is also highly experienced and that also gives us the possibility to make our referees even better during the tournament, he concludes.
Martin Petrik / Tom Podlesny CZE (lick on the links to access the referee cards)
Martin Petrik is 35 years old and he works for automotive business. He lives in Havirov and has been a floorball referee for 15 years. He is married and has two sons.
Tom Podlesny, a 33 years old sales manager is also from Havirov. His floorball referee career has lasted for 15 years. He is married and a proud father of two kids. This is the second WFC Final Round for him and his pair.
Lucie Hejnova / Jitka Romancakova CZE
Lucie Hejnova is 27 and lives in Rtyne v. Podkrkonosi and she works for a charity organisation. She has been a referee for eight years. When not refereeing she likes to climb mountains and to run.
Jitka Romancakova is 24 years old student from Male Svatonovice and she has been a referee since 2008. This upcoming WFC Final Round is the first for her and for her pair.
Tom Kirjonen / Jyrki Sirkka FIN
Tom Kirjonen, 45 years old salesman. He works with the good old fashion hardware. According to himself he´s way too busy to have other hobbies especially when being a father of three.
Jyrki Sirkka lives in Espoo in Finland and he is married and has two kids. He works as a product developer and while not refereeing or working he likes to fish and cook. They were in WFC 2013 Final Round in Czech Republic with his pair and refereed a semi-final game.
Juhani Kirves / Henrik Snellman FIN Juhani Kirves is 33 years old language teacher from Iisalmi in Finland. He has 15 years experience as a referee and he likes music and especially likes to play his guitar. Henrik Snellman lives in Kuopio and he´s 40 years old. He works as a freelancer in Human Resource business and also in restaurants. He´s also into ice hockey and during his free time he works as the VIP lounge manager for the hockey team Kalpa that plays in the Finnish league Therese Edin / Frida Nilsson SWE Therese Edin is 30 years old and she works as hotel manager in Kiruna in Northern Sweden. She´s been a referee for 14 years and she likes to drive snowmobile and dance as well. Frida Nilsson, this 23 shoe sales lady lives and works in Umeå. Her referee career has lasted for ten years so far. They have refereed in Women´s U19 2014, but this is the first Final Round for her and her pair. They have however refereed the Swedish Super Final. Corina Wehinger / Sandra Zurbuchen SUI Corina Wehinger is 28 years old MSC in sports science. She lives in Berne and has been a referee for nine years and together with her pair the whole time. They referee the Men´s league in Switzerland. Sandra Zurbuchen is 30 years old lawyer and comes from the city of Berne. She´s single and has been a referee already over a decade. She´s an eager sports fan in general and has many other sports as hobby than just Floorball. Roland Brändle / Remo Niedermann SUI Roland Brändle started as a referee in 1992 and also has a background as a player, mainly as a goalkeeper. This 39 years old Swiss works as an IT-manager and he is married and has two sons. The WFC 2015 is their third WFC Final Round. Remo Niedermann is 30 years old and started his referee career in Switzerland 2004. He has a background as an elite goalkeeper, but now he´s only playing for fun. He works as an ICT security consultant.
