Group C will be one of the most interesting Groups in the WFC with all three Asia-Oceania teams Australia, Japan and Singapore and Denmark as the only European team.
Denmark is the favourite of Group C due to their highest ranking which is 9. Australia has been able to surprise the Danish once before in the past and isn’t even that far behind with the ranking 12.
Japan (ranked 15) was able to win all their matches in the qualification round and is looking strong this year. Singapore has the lowest ranking (20), but they were also strong in the qualifications and their only loss was against Japan with a one goal difference.
The teams placed 1st and 2nd in group C and D make it to the first playoff round (played before the quarter-finals). More on the tournament format found here: www.wfc2015.fi/pages/EN/Tournament
