It’s a peak of the two-year lasting preparation for every team before the main tournament starts – training camp. Finland, Sweden, Switzerland and the Czech Republic decided to spend the last days before #WFCPrague in warm. Team Thailand chose a different path. After the first training camp in Finland, they traveled right away to the host country. They anchored in the city of Kutná Hora, 80 kilometres away from Prague.
The Thais got a special guide – Simona Třískalová, wife of the chairman of FBC Kutná Hora, Czech Lower league club. „It was a unique opportunity to meet the Thailand National Team here in Kutná Hora. The interaction was relaxed since the first moment. I honestly hope that this training camp will help them to bring their A-game to the World Floorball Championships in Prague,“ says Třískalová.
The players and staff of Team Thailand were also happy. „Everything
here was very professional. Perfect food, accommodation and arena. All the
people took care of us really responsibly.
No problems at all,“ narrates Kenneth Koh, Singaporean head coach of
Thailand.
Thailand will participate in group C and play against Australia, Estonia and Poland, their first opponent (Dec 1, 18:30, Arena Sparta). „We hope we can show ourselves in the best possible way. Every championship means for us another chance to improve our position in the IFF rankings,“ adds Koh.
