Spanish National team coach leaves after 10 years – 06.02.2014

After Spain´s last match in the Men´s World Floorball Championships Qualifications against Russia the national team coach, Miguel Prieto, told his players about his decision to leave the team.

Miguel Prieto has been in charge of the national team for a period of ten years and has led the development of Spanish floorball on the international scene.

- It was not an easy time for him and he waited until the last match was over to bring the news to all his players. The decision was however taken already earlier, but Miguel didn´t want it to influence the spirit of the team participating in the qualifications, Spanish Floorball Association Secretary General, Carlos Lopez informs.

The decision was made due to personal and family reasons, but he will still actively continue with other tasks outside leading the national team.

- Miguel ´s work with the national team has been very positive and he has contributed in developing floorball skills, working methods , floorball analysis and prestige that puts us at a level, which is recognised worldwide. The Spanish floorball Association (AEUF) recognises his dedication and work and appreciates Miguel´s decision to continue working for Spanish floorball in other tasks, Carlos Lopez concludes thanking Miguel once more.
