SSV Diamante Bozen and FBC Bozen in the Italian Men´s final – 18.04.2013

On Saturday evening the men’s championship will be decided in a derby between two classical opponents.

The title holder SSV Diamante Bozen has won the championship five times and got to the final by beating Viking Roma in the semifinal.

The local rival FBC Bozen can count on three titles and reached the final after two tight matches against UF Gargazon Liftex. The two teams have met numerous times and know each other well.

In last year’s final SSV Diamante won 7-5, while in 2010 FBC Bozen won the decisive match thanks to two goals scored in the last minute.

- The match will be played in the area “Max Valier” and we believe that the many spectators will be able to enjoy another thrilling floorball event, says Jorgen Olshov, Secretary General of the FIUF.

Viking Roma U14 Champions

During last weekend the regional Under14 championship in Lazio was decided at the “F.Tarquini” arena in Ciampino. Around 150 spectators could follow the young teams in their efforts to win the local title.

The final was played between the home team Floorball Ciampino and Viking Roma. A very tight match with the Roman team continuously taking the lead, while the Ciampino players kept fighting and equalizing the score. With 82 seconds left Viking Roma managed to score shorthanded and despite heavy pressure from Floorball Ciampino no more goals were made.
