VSV Unihockey and TV Wikings Zell/See made it again in Austria – 19.04.2013

The final series in Austria are over and both Zell and Villach could defend their titels.TV Vikings Zell/See won the women´s championship and VSV Unihockey are the men´s champions 2012/13.

After a 1-0 victory in the first game of the best of three series, Wikings Zell showed impressive Floorball in the home game and won 10-3 against IBC Leoben/FBV Trofaiach. About 350 frenetic fans carried the team to victory.

- Amazing, wonderful, magnificent, Melanie Bernert from the TV Wikings Zell/See ladies commented lacking the words after the final.

Melanie plays Floorball for four years and her club Zell/See took her 3rd title in a row.

- We are on the right way. With a lot of young players we made it again and we are happy, Zell coach Patrick Kellner told after the vitory.

 


In the men´s league, where they played the best of five series, VSV Unihockey needed 4 games to fix the title. This was the third goal in a row for VSV as well.

VSV won the 4th game with 8-5 against the men team of Wikings Zell/See.

- It was the expected that there would be hard fights in each game and we tried to give our best in every second of the game, the VSV coach Hannes Pühringer said.

After three games the standing was 2-1 for VSV. In a decisive 4th game VSV was in a 5-2 lead after the first period and was smart enough to hold the lead until the end. Timo Schmid from VSV was again the top scorer in Austria.
