Czech, Latvian & Polish Floorball Youth Camps 2013 – 18.07.2013

Some of the best ways to inspire young people to start floorball and to increase the amount of floorball players are through youth floorball camps. Meeting professional players, making new friends, spending active summer holidays and, of course, improving floorball skills are the most important parts of these camps. During this European summer a lot of youth floorball camps are held and here are a couple of them.

Rookie Camp (CZE)
Rookie Camp started in 2011 and is a week-long floorball camp for young players of different ages. It is held this year 13.-20.7. in Králův Dvůr, Czech Republic. The camp is an excellent opportunity to practice floorball skills with the best floorball players from the Czech Republic, combined with some international superstars. This year the instructors and coaches of the camp are: Matej Jendrisak, Milan Fridrich, Ales Jakubek, Tomas Kafka, Zdenek Zak, Dominika Steglova, Kristyna Jilkova, Jana Vojackova, Swedish national team player Martin Östholm and Pixbo Wallenstam player Alexander Andersson. In addition to the floorball, there are a lot of other activities for the participants during the camp.

Blindsave Goalie Camp (LAT)

The Blindsave Camp was a 3-day camp held in Talsi, Latvia. This year it was held 12.-14.7, and it was attended by 50 goalkeepers from 8 countries, the youngest being 9 years old. Those 3 days were full of great learning possibilities for all of the participants. The instructors were Latvia’s national team goalie and co-founder of Blindsave, Andis Blinds, Swedish national team goalie Patrik Åman, and ex-NHL goalie and Latvian ice hockey legend Arturs Irbe. In addition to meeting international pro goalies and have them as coaches, during the camp specific training and activities only for goalies, psychological aspects of being a goalie, and video training was taught.


Florbalkowe Wakacje Camp (POL)
 
A Polish youth camp, Florbalkowe Wakacje was held 7.-16.7. near Ostrow Wielkopolski, Poland. It was a 10-day camp for young athletes of ages from 10-18 years, who wanted to improve their technical and tactical floorball skills. The goal for participants of the camp was to become a better floorballer but also to make lifelong friendships and have unforgettable memories. Besides floorball, the camp provided other recreational activities such as agility testing and a visit to an Adventure Park.
