Another triumph for Finland – 03.12.2017

Finland challenged Norway in group A.

Finnish players dominated and scored four goals in a row in the first period. Jenna Saario, Veera Kauppi were the successful goalscorers and Elina Kujala added another two goals for Finland. Four goals in six minutes. Finland led 4:0. The first big opportunity for Norway was on a power-play. Julia Gidske utilized this advantage and scored the first goal. Despite this situation, Finland won the first period.

Finnish players created a lot of occasions to score but only three players scored. Ella Alanko and Veera Kauppi in the 24th minute and Karoliina Kujala in the 28th minute. Apart from these goals, Finland controlled the game and spent the most time in offensive area.

Precise passes, active play in offensive area and appropriate accuracy - these aspects were significant in the Finnish game. Veera Kauppi added another goal in the 44th minute. Silja Eskelinen scored in the 54th minute of the third period. Veera Kauppi orchestrated her fourth goal in the match. Finland won the game 10:1.
