Fantastic victory for Slovakia as host-country won over Australia 21-1 – 03.12.2017

It was the last game in group C for both teams; host-country Slovakia against Australia.

After seven minutes, Slovakia had a two-goal lead. The first goal-scorer was Sarka Bolova. Viktoria Bobotova added the second goal. Australia mainly focused on defensive area, they played on break aways. Jana Troskova scored the third goal in the 13th minute of the first period. There were no clear chances or great opportunities to score in the next minutes, Slovakia led 3:0.

The 23rd minute of the second period was successful for Slovakia. Andrea Sidlova rebounded a shot from Viktoria Bobotova. Tayla Hull, forward of Australia, showed a short-handed goal. But Slovakia responded. Katarina Klapitova utilized a big chance to score. Slovak players controlled the game and tried to shot from every position. Denisa Ferencikova orchestrated two goals in a row for the host-country. Lenka Cuprakova and Michaela Sponiarova scored the next two goals. After short period, Lucia Kosturiakova, the captain of the home team, added the ninth goal. Slovakia led thanks to nine-goal advantage. Slovak goal-machine continued, Sarka Bolova, was one of the most scorers.

The whole third period was full Slovakian domination. Paulina Hudakova scored the goal in the 41st minute of the last period. 20 seconds later, Viktoria Grossova added another one. Michaela Sponiarova presented a distance-goal to 14:1. The captain of Slovakia, Lucia Kosturiakova, scored the fifteenth and sixteenth goal. Sarka Bolova, Monika Pinterova, Lucia Kosturiakova and Denisa Ferencikova scored the other goals. Slovakia won over Australia 21:1.
