Switzerland or Czech Republic? Who won the Bronze?
Swiss players started more active than the Czech team. There were only few chances because both teams focused on a defensive play. The Czech team was several minutes under pressure. Breathtaking battles, a lot of passes but Switzerland and Czech Republic were unable to score.
Czech Republic had a perfect start in the second period. One of the best Czech players, Eliska Krupnova, scored the first goal of the match in the 21st minute. But Corin Ruttimann responded soon. She scored the first Swiss goal in the 26th minute. This moment offered Switzerland more energy and players of the team were more aggressive and they created a lot of attacks. Czech Republic reacted with a style. They scored. Dominika Kubisova was a successful goal-scorer. It was in the 32nd minute.
This dramatic duel was in the last period. Nobody wanted to make a mistake, both countries played very carefully. After this, Czech Republic had the one-goal lead. Switzerland shooted several posts. Finally, they scored. Corin Ruttimann showed her qualities and she scored the second goal in this match. What a game for her! Swiss forward Corin Ruttimann completed three goals thanks to penalty shot and Switzerland won bronze medals.
