Sweden strong and wins over Poland – 03.12.2017

Sweden was a clear favorite of this game straight from the beginning and they proved it very quickly. Malin Andreason was the first to score in this game, making it 1-0 for Sweden. She added another goal not long after that and since then, Sweden confidently controlled the game. Justyna Krzywak was the only one from team Poland to score, one and a half minute before the end of the first period and she cut down the score to 7-1.

The second period was all about Sweden’s dominance. They scored another six goals, making it 13-1. It was very hard for the Polish team to break through Swedish strong defense as they were put under pressure most of the time. As if that was not enough, Weronika Noga was given a 2-minute penalty and Poland had to defend Swedish power play. At least this turned out well, Sweden did not manage to score on powerplay, which boosted Poland’s confidence a bit.

At the start of the final period, Justyna Krzywak scored another goal and brought Poland a bit closer. But more or less, it was about maintaining the score from Sweden. They did not focus on offense that much like in the previous periods, which resulted in less scored goals. However, Sweden still managed to score three more goals and made the final result speak clearly 17-2 for them.
