Switzerland’s dominance was very clear straight from the beginning of the match. Right in the second minute, Andrea Gamperli scored the first goal and quickly after that, she added another one, making it 2-0. Seraina Ulber made it 3-0 with a nice assist from Flurina Marti. In the thirteenth minute, Laura Neumann was given a 2-minute penalty, which gave Switzerland a great chance to score more goals. They took the opportunity and a few seconds before the end of their powerplay, Michelle Wiki made it 4-0.
In the second period, Switzerland continued with their quite impressive scoring spree, adding 6 more goals! It seemed that whatever Germany tries is not enough. Switzerland kept them under pressure during the whole period, making it really hard for Germany to break through and create any goal opportunities. Germany had only one shot on goal in the second period. Before the last period of the game, the score was 10-0 for Switzerland and it looked like there was no possibility Switzerland could lose in the end.
Switzerland confirmed their dominance in the last period with four more goals, one of them being Germany’s own goal. The Swiss team has given no chance to Germany to even cut down the score and took an impressive win 14-0.
