Host-country challenged an opponent from the group C - Estonia.
Slovakia
started with an active offensive play, but Estonian players focused on
defense and they destructed the Slovak game. Estonia got a break away
and Edith Parnik scored the first goal of the match in the 7th minute.
Slovak players had several good opportunities, but there was no clear
chance. Estonia had one-goal lead until the 16th minute, when Paulina
Hudakova showed brilliant individual action and she edited the score to
1:1. Fans of the host-country could enjoy another goal in 19th minute.
Patricia-Maria Dzurinova added the second goal of Slovakia in the first
period. Home team dominated, audience could see a lot of passes and
accurate shots, but Estonian defense was ready to stop every dangerous
chance.
Perfect start for Slovakia in the second period. During
two minutes scored two goals. Firstly, Lucia Kosturiakova, the captain
of the host-country, added the third goal. Secondly, Paulina Hudakova
improved her statistics thanks to the second goal in the match. Slovakia
led 4:1. Estonian players tried to create some chances but they weren´t
successful until the 28th minute when Slovak defender lost her ball and
Reti Vaart utilized this opportunity. Slovakia made another mistake in
defensive area and Diana Klavan scored the third goal of Estonia.
Paulina Hudakova confirmed her position as a one of the best
goal-scorers in the team because she scored the fifth goal. The next
successful goal-scorer was Denisa Ferencikova, she raised the number of
scored goals to six. Another, seventh goal, was scored by Paulina
Hudakova who ended the second period by this situation.

Durikova scored the first goal in the last period in the 44th minute.
Both teams played very physically but there was only one penalty. Sarka
Bolova from the fourth line added the nineth goal for Slovakia. Lucia
Kosturiakova scored her second, Slovakia led 10:3 in the 57th minute and
it was the final result.
