Host-country Slovakia challenged Singapore in the first match of a group C.
Slovakia started the match against Singapore with a lot of energy and with a very physical style of the game. In the first minutes, there were good opportunities to score for Slovakia, but none of them was successful. Slovakia wanted to play active but Singaporean players controlled defensive area. Fans of the host-country was shocked when Singapore scored the first goal of the match. Hui Hui Ong was the successful goal-scorer in the 12th minute. Singapore lost its one-goal lead, because Katarina Klapitova and Andrea Sidlova scored two goals at the end of the first period.
At the beginning, Denisa Ferencikova scored three goals in a row and secured absolute turnover for the home national team against Singapore. Slovakia led 5:1. Before the end of the second period, Paulina Hudakova added another goal for Slovakia.
The captain of Slovak national team Lucia Kosturiakova utilized the position and scored her first goal in Bratislava. Paulina Hudakova orchestrated the eighth goal in the 44th minute thanks to rebound. Another Slovak goal was added by Lucia Kosturiakova and Slovakia led 9:1, but Wilna Tan responded by the second goal of Singapore. The dominance of the host-country confirmed Michaela Sponiarova. An exhibition goal presented sisters duo Kristina and Paulina Hudakova thanks to beautiful combination in front of the goalie in the 54th minute. The last goal of the match scored Kristina Hudakova. Slovak players won their first match against Singapore 12:2.
