Euro Floorball Tour as a set of preparative matches
before the World Championships in Bratislava offered a floorball full of
quality.
Sweden was the host-country of the EFT tournament and competed with Czech Republic, Finland and Switzerland.
Every national team played three matches, the maximum of points was nine. There was also a Women´s U19 EFT tournament taking place at the same time
Performances of Swedish national team were absolutely great. They won their first match with high-goal difference. It was a perfect start for the home team. Next game on Saturday was strange. Sweden controlled the first period against Czech Republic, but the second one lost 1:4. After this, Swedish players provided an evidence, how to relevantly react to possible turnover. After all, they won 13:5. The final match between the best national teams during Tour, Sweden and Finland, was decided in the first part of the game. Sweden won it 5:0 and the match 7:4.
Friday: Sweden 10:1 Switzerland (4:0, 2:1, 4:0)
Saturday: Sweden 13:5 Czech Republic (6:1, 1:4, 6:0)
Sunday: Sweden 7:4 Finland (5:0, 1:2, 1:2)
After two victories against Czech Republic 5:1 and Switzerland 7:2, Finland looked like very strong team which could be an equal opponent for Sweden. However, the first period was like from a catastrophic movie, but final result was quite good. Swedish floorball players were better.
Friday: Finland 5:1 Czech Republic (2:1, 2:0, 1:0)
Saturday: Switzerland 2:7 Finland (1:3, 1:2, 0:2)
Sunday: Sweden 7:4 Finland (5:0, 1:2, 1:2)
Good game play is not enough, Czech Republic beat only Switzerland, even that after penalty shots. Final score 12:23 from three games represents weaker defensive activity, but pugnacity was at high level.
Friday: Finland 5:1 Czech Republic (2:1, 2:0, 1:0)
Saturday: Sweden 13:5 Czech Republic (6:1, 1:4, 6:0)
Sunday: Czech Republic 6:5ps Switzerland (2:1, 2:3, 1:1 – 0:0, 2:1)
National team from Switzerland started their Euro Floorball Tour poorly. On the other hand, there was really strong rival form Sweden, so there not many points to take form this game. The Swiss lost their second match 2:7. Their last confrontation was against Czech Republic and this match was decided in a lottery of penalty shots.
Friday: Sweden 10:1 Switzerland (4:0, 2:1, 4:0)
Saturday: Switzerland 2:7 Finland (1:3, 1:2, 0:2)
Sunday: Czech Republic 6:5ps Switzerland (2:1, 2:3, 1:1 – 0:0, 2:1)
