Team Australia wins Thailand in a bottom four battle. 4-3 (0-0, 2-1, 4-2)
If you weren´t entertained at the Australia - Thailand match, something must be wrong. First period was incredible two-way floorball. Both sides put much effort in to try and get a ball past either of the goalies. For better part of the first period, it was a fun game with the teams exchanging chances over and over again. Despite all the effort, no goals were scored after twenty minutes of play.
2nd period began with an active effort from both sides again. Unfortunately for Australia, Thailand struck first making it 1-0 and then 29 seconds later extending the lead by two goals. 25:55 Australia came back with one. The rest of the period was rough stuff on the field but the score didn´t change to round it out.
Australia came out prepared for the 3rd period, straight out of the dressing room they put a goal in back of the opponents´ net making it a tie game. Despite Australia receiving a huge confidence boost, the teams carried on playing the same style they´ve been playing the whole game. Ten minutes left in the game -and Australia gets the lead after a goal from behind the net. Thailand got their 2nd power play of the game, which was perfectly executed making it 3-3 and then they took another one. Australia awarded with a penalty with two seconds left in the game, but unfortunately goalie was in his place. The game ended with a triumphant 4-3 score for Thailand.
