Video Referee in WFC 2016 – 07.12.2017

A video referee system will be in operation for all matches. The referees can request a review of a goal situation only to determine whether the ball has fully crossed the goal line or crossed the goal line within the match time. No other play situations will be reviewed and no one other than the referees can request the video review.

The video review footage will be included in the TV feed BUT PLEASE NOTE…this is the first time that this system has been used in an IFF match so if the test of the system does not go as expected in the early games, then the use of it will be reviewed.
