Two different WFC spectator records were broken today during the first day of the Men’s World Floorball Championships in Riga, Latvia.
Home team Latvia battled against Sweden during the first day of WFC 2016 in Riga, Latvia. Reigning champion Sweden was stronger by numbers 7-2. The match also made its mark in the floorball history as it broke a record. There were 8011 spectators and it is an opening day match spectator record. This was not the only record that was broken. All in all, 13280 floorball fans attended the first day of WFC 2016 and this is the new opening day total attendance records.
