Women´s Champions Cup Team presentations – 27.09.2011

Six Women´s teams divided into two groups are aiming to win the first Champions Cup and the 10 000 CHF in price money. 

Below you will find the team presentations and on www.championscup.cz you can now find all detailed information about the first edition of the top club competition.

The groups playing in the Women´s CC are:
Group A: IF Djurgårdens IBF, Herbadent Praha SJM, Rubene 
Group B: Red Ants Rychenberg Winterthur, SC Classic, FbS Ropro Bohemians

Djurgårdens IF (SWE)

IF Djurgårdens IBF - Djurgården has a short history in floorball but it is one of the oldest clubs in Sweden. Its floorball history started 1995 and in 2010 Djurgården took over Balrog´s ladies team and won the Swedish Championship the first year. The goal is to win the CC.
Player to be notes:
Emelie Lindström: one of the best players in the world. She is both a playmaker and a good scorer.

Hermine Dahlerus: she has won everything you can win in the floorball world. She is the captain and a role model to every young player. She is very quick and has very good shot.
Moa Tschöp: a young and very talented player. She is a very good defender but also very good offensively with her and great shot.

Herbadent Praha SJM - Herbadent SJM (previously known as Tigers SJM) is an internationally-seasoned team with accurate mix of young and experienced players. The team has two goals in the CC. The first competitive goal is to reach a medal. The second goal is to gain experience from international matches and to play fast and attractive floorball.
Players to be noted: 
Anet Jarolimova: she is a very fearless and aggressive player who can score from every position.
Dominika Steglova: a clever and creative forward with a fast shot and good body game.
Lucia Kosturiakova: a very fast player with very good ball possession. 

Rubene (LAT)

Rubene - The Latvian team was the best club team outside the top four nations in the EFC Final round 2010 and earned their place in the CC 2011. Rubene is however not the reiginng Latvian champion after losing to RSU/Runway in the Latvian finals.
Players to be noted: 
Edīte Bankava: The top scorer in the Latvian floorball league for the last six seasons. She has played in the Latvian national team in the last three WFC´s.
Linda Līce: the best defender during last season in Latvian championships with lots of national team experience.
Evita Rudzīte: she is the team´s top scorer together with Bankava and play in Rubene´s first line and also a national team player.

Red Ants Rychenberg Winterthur (SUI)

Red Ants Rychenberg Winterthur - The team is finally Swiss Champion again after a break of six long years.
The Red Ants were discarded in the EFC Final round semi-final last year and now wants to reach the 2011 CC final.
Players to be noted: 
Laura Kokko: a defender that plays in the Finnish national team. It is really a pleasure to watch her game.
Jana Christianová: the wall from Czech Republic who plays in the Czech national team. She has experience from both the Women´s WFC in 2009 and the Women´s U19 WFC in 2008.
Andrea Hofstetter: an experienced Swiss national team defender with a great long distance shot. She can be called the Steffi Graf of floorball.

SC Classic (FIN)

SC Classic - A good mixture of youth and experience. The team that has won four consecutive Finnish championships in a row and has had the opportunity to play in the former EFC for a few years in a row. The aim is now to improve the 4th place placement from last years.
Players to be noted: 
Katriina Saarinen: has played over 10 years on the top but still one of the best players in Finland. Saarinen is the all-time top scorer in the Finnish league.
Aliisa Pöllänen: only 17 years old, but challenges the opponents with speed and personal skills.
Nina Rantala: she is the fighter of the team that never gives up.

FbS Bohemians(CZE)

FbS Ropro Bohemians: The floorball school Bohemians is the biggest club in Czech Republic. In 2010 and 2011 this team was the second best team in the Czech league and in 2012 the aim is to be the first. At the Champions Cup 2011 the goal is to win gold even though it won´t be easy.
Players to be noted: 
Eliška Křížová: one of the best players of the Czech National team
who played her first Adult World Championships in 2009 scoring 4+3 in six matches.
Adéla Bočanová: a very young player (born 1994) who is the top scorer of the team.
Kristýna Horňáková: one of the best goalkeepers in Czech Republic
