CC interview with Jenny Gustafsson, Djurgården — 30.09.2014

Jenny Gustafsson is one of the national team players that is representing  the Women´s CC 2014 team Djurgardens IF IBF from Swedish SSL.

What are your thoughts before the Champions Cup?
- We have a good feeling and are really excited. We’ve started this season with three very intensive matches in the SSL, which I think has been very positive for us in our preparations for the Champions Cup.

What do you think about your group?
- We haven’t actually focused that much on our opponents since we have a lot of new girls in our team.  The most important thing for us has been to get our own team together.

Who do you see as your main competitors to win the gold?
- I would say SB-Pro. Finnish teams usually play very aggressively.

How is the status in your squad?
- All are available and will be ready to play. We will be arriving on Tuesday and have our first match on Thursday so I think we will have a nice and calm start of the tournament. Our former goalkeeper, Linnea Lexe, who lives in Zürich has promised to show us around town a bit. We’re all looking forward to that as well as the tournament.

What would a gold medal mean to you?
- It would mean a lot of happiness, of course. And it’s our first big goal this season, to win the Champions Cup. I think it could affect our continuation of SSL as well. And it would be nice to prove those who doubt us this season wrong.
