Champions Cup 2014 Referees presented — 29.09.2014
The IFF Referee Committee has nominated four referee pairs to the Champions Cup 2014. The nominated referees have a lot of experience and have been in other IFF major events previously.
Four pairs will officiate the matches, three pairs are for both men´s and women´s matches and one pair concentrating on the women´s matches.
- We already tested this concept last year during the Champions Cup in Tampere and it turned out to work well. We will also continue to use the head sets for the referees and from the Men´s WFC 2014 on we will use the head sets in all IFF major tournaments, says Mr. Klaus Koskela, the chairman of the IFF Referee Committee.

Tom Kirjonen
|
Tom Kirjonen, 44 years old salesman. He works with the good old fashion hardware. Skiing and golf are his hobbies, he is married and has three sons. Refereeing since 1998 and he is on his first term as an IFF referee.
Jyrki Sirkka lives in Espoo in Finland and he is married and has two kids. He works as a product development assistent and while not refereeing or working he likes to fish and cook. He and his pair refereed the Women´s 2013 WFC semi-final. |

Bartosz Burek |
Bartosz Burek is 28 years old CEO from Poznan. He has been refereeing for a decade and as an IFF referee this is his third nomination period. He and his pair have refereed more than 50 international matches so far and more to come.
Wojciech Czarnecki is an engineer and he lives in Mikolajki Pomorskie with his wife and daughter. When he is not working or refereeing he spends his free time with the family is an eager Rock´n Roll fan and reads a lot. He is 32 years old. |

Niklaus Güpfert |
Niklaus Güpfert works as a mechanical engineer. He is 32 years old, lives in Winterthur and has been a referee since 1997. He was an international referee earlier with his former pair, but has now been an IFF referee from 2011 on. Thye have already refereed in MU19 Final round and Men´s 2012 WFC.
Thomas Ziegler is 39 years old "nerd". He works as an software consultant and lives in Homburg. He also has a long career as a referee in general, since he has also been a referee since 1997. |

Thomas Andersson |
Thomas Andersson is 36 year sold and works as a manager in Ericsson. He has been an IFF referee also before and the last bigger event was the men´s 2008 WFC in Prague. He´s been a referee since 1996 and is married and has two kids.
Rickard Wissman is 34 years old military man and has been a referee since 1996. He has a family and one daughter and when not refereeing he enjoys to cook and train. He also has player background from the Swedish second division. |
