CC interview with Nauka´s coach Anatolii Bykov — 18.09.2014

By winning the EFC last year, Nauka Trevelstroy qualified for the Champions Cup in Switzerland. Despite being underdogs, the head coach Anatolii Bykov,  is in for a surprise at the CC 2014.

You will meet the best teams in the world, what will be the goal for you in the CC?

- We understand that we will play with the best teams in the world. Nine years ago, when I started working with the girls, we started with the basics of floorball. There was no point imagining then that this event will occur in our lives! It will be a real floorball tournament and we deserved that victory last year in the EuroFloorball Cup. To participate in this tournament is already a great success for us. We will perform our maximum in every game and no doubt, getting into the semi-finals will be a fantastic success.
 
How will you prepare the team for this adventure?

- We played at the Latvian Open where we took the first place and then we had two friendly games in Finland with NST in August. Before the Champions Cup we will have the first tour of the Russian Championship 2014/15.

Will you participation in the CC also have a positive effects on your national floorball development?

- Of course, I think it has a very positive effect. We need to have more of such games against the best clubs in the world, so that we will be able to reach a higher level.
