Acceptance
of the world anti-doping code
Dear Mr.
Syväsalmi,
The
International Floorball Federation (IFF) wants to show our commitment to sports
and our willingness to take part in all fields and share our mutual
responsibility. Therefore the IFF has applied to GAISF to become an ordinary
member, well aware that such an application will not be treated until 2004.
We also aim
to apply for membership of the IWGA, an application that can’t be treated until
the IFF has gained ordinary membership of GAISF. Meanwhile we will humbly ask
the IWGA to be given an observer status at the World Games in Duisburg 2005 –
to be able to learn for upcoming World Games where we hope to be a participant.
The IFF
Central Board fully agree and has decided to accept the World Anti-Doping
Code, decided by the WADA Foundation
Board on March 5 2003, as the basis for the fight against doping in sports and
will implement it into our statutes, rules and regulations.
By the end
of March 2003 the IFF consists of 31 member Associations with 3.900 clubs and
208.000 registered players.
Looking forward to our future co-operation, we remain
Yours
sincerely
International Floorball Federation
