Classic shut out Herbadent — 06.10.2012Finnish champions SC Classic will be the team facing IKSU in the womens final of Champions Cup on Sunday. SC Classic’s strong defence and solid goalie, Kreeta Lakkala, was the key to their 3-0 victory against Herbadent in the semi-final.
Classic controlled the game in the first period and Herbadent had to defend. But during one and a half minutes at the end of the period the Finns scored twice by Hanna Sipiläinen and Irja Lahtinen. In the second period SC Classic continued to have the ball but they didn´t create so many chances. But neither did Herbadent… Sipilänen involved in all Classic goals Herbadent had some good chances to score in the third period, but instead of getting closer they made a mistake in their defence and Hanna Sipiläinen scored 3-0 with four minutes to go. This was also the final score. Sipiläinen collected 2+1 and was the most effective player. SC Classic’s goalkeeper, Kreeta Lakkala, was selected as player of the match together with Anet Jarolímová in Herbadent.
